This third edition of the Place Names that Made Us Chuckle was completely unplanned. Matt and I were on our End to End 2008 training ride, and suddenly I spotted a Shingay cum Wendy sign! Of course, riddle with excitement I applied the brakes and suggested we turned round and travelled to Shingay to take a picture.

Merrily frolicking on the open road (in the freezing cold) last Thursday, I found myself needing to turn right at a junction. As I didn’t particularly want to un-clip just to stop for one truck, I thought I’d risk it and take the corner whilst accelerating quite promptly. This wasn’t one of my most clever choices.

After visiting our local bike shop, the Cambridge Cycle Company, I have finnaly got my hands on a new bike. Its being all set-up for me to use, and I’m going to pick it up next Saturday. Do read on…

Our beloved Matt sent me this great link today confirming my suspicions that certain positions on a bike could damage your penis. Thankfully, after a few “numb” sessions last month, I have already re-angled my saddle to prevent such sensations, but still its a pretty scary thought.

Here comes another Rofl of the week, and this week I’m talking about bikes. Yes that right, bikes. Everyone seems to have gone a bit bike crazy recently so I thought this Rofl of the week could go as a sort of tribute to this strange obsession, and a shining beacon for how left out I feel *sad face*.
