Even though it’s fantastic “out-of-the-box”, a few tweaks are needed to get it the way I want it.
There’s a satisfying feeling when any technology is useful for more than 5 years. The PC at my mother’s had plenty of TLC back in the day, but now cracks are showing (literally) and some work was needed to stop it being replaced.
Chinese curry is sweeter, with a more delicate flavour than Indian curries. Its always had a sweet-spot in my list of questionable foods. My eventual aim is to devise a recipe that improves (or is very close to) the chinese curry that takeaways serve.

Feeling compelled to see Toy Story 3, for a trip down memory lane more than anything. I was reminded just how much cinema’s manage to screw you for cash at every turn. There’s nothing new with cinemas charging high prices for snacks, but when I can get a ticket for £3.80 and popcorn for £2 at a different cinema, Cineworld seems a rip off!

A problem that keeps rearing its head lately is that every once in a while, apache stops serving. error.log shows nothing around that time, and other logs are apache free. Its getting annoying having to SSH in and manually restart, having already lost a good hour before I’d noticed the email from the monitoring people.
I’m more of a dog person, but having three kittens turn up in the garden yesterday provided much entertainment. None of them had collars so where they came from is a bit of a mystery.
At my age, any mention of “grow your own” congers up images of allotments and the fragrance of old people. I’ve convinced myself that a herb garden is still hip and cool, compared to growing swedes and potatoes. Exciting or what! Trying to grow herbs indoors out of season proves difficult.
Going against the usual OCD that stops me ever finishing a site, I’ve released the new Woolie.co.uk prematurely! To convince mostly myself, here’s the reasoning:
