End to End 2008

Oh god, it’s gone!

You see, back in the winter, Woolie and Matt cunningly decided that it would be a smashing idea to cycle the length of the country on their bicycles in the name of fun, or something like that. This was a poor idea as the trip would most likely result in horrible life altering defects that I’m sure have been mentioned multiple times on this site…

…so naturally they are doing it for charity instead.

Because of this, Ross and I are also tagging along, but because we are lazy and like our “proportions” we are taking a car instead. Ergo, “Support Team”!

Some pretty informative stuff from the site

We are 2 students from Cambridge who are cycling from John o’ Groats to Land’s End. We are aiming to complete this adventurous journey of 888 miles in 8 days. The start date is currently set for mid-July so help us out by leaving us messages and donating to the Down’s Syndrome Association!

Our route is from John o’ Groats to Land’s End. Unlike most people who cycle the End to End challenge, we are going from top to bottom. This was a group decision based by the traveling times and the general direction of travel on the map. Even though the prevailing wind is south westerly, we are up for a challenge! The map on the right shows roughly where we will be camping overnight (detailed information will be posted the day after we have camped at a location).
