This third edition of the Place Names that Made Us Chuckle was completely unplanned. Matt and I were on our End to End 2008 training ride, and suddenly I spotted a Shingay cum Wendy sign! Of course, riddle with excitement I applied the brakes and suggested we turned round and travelled to Shingay to take a picture.
In hindsight, it would have been more of a chuckle to take a picture with the Shingay cum Wendy sign, however I wasn’t thinking straight at the time (we’d been cycling in less than 0 temperatures with a strong windchill).

Trying to get facts on this place isn’t easy, there isn’t a Wikipedia article! I think we should create one just with these pictures, that would speak a thousand words.
