In my never ending quest to get more bass, I have invested in a bit of software known as SRS Audio Sandbox. Its basically a graphic equaliser with a twist. Perhaps this article will enlighten you a little more, and persuade you to download the trial or something.
So What Is It?
I’m pretty crap at explaining things, so its probably best if I just copy the website’s description:
“SRS Audio Sandbox” will provide amazing audio immersion and maximum thump for a personalized audio experience!”
To be honest that’s a pretty crap explanation. SRS Audio Sandbox basically provides you with a range of things you can do to your computer’s audio. There are quite a few features:
- Sleek easy-to-use interface design with energizing sonic-like pulses
- Realistic & enjoyable surround sound
- Enjoy deep, rich bass
- Choose from many cool presets for all your music, videos and games
- Custom settings for headphones & desktop or surround speakers
- Compatible with all music, videos & games on the PC
- Compact mini mvode display option
I however, don’t use many of those features, all I bought (yes bought) it for was to give me some increased bass. Now that I have iTunes EQ set right, and the SRS Audio Sandbox running, I can get some pretty awesome bass. The difference is that the SRS Audio Sandbox doesn’t just increase the amplitude of the bass frequencies, it does some fancy shit with the above harmonics and fools the brain. That’s probably all bullshit, but it makes it sound good
So anyway, here’s a screen-shot of the beast (click for large view).
If you’re interested, just go grab yourself a trial version here, its free for 14 days and as its only £10 I didn’t mind paying for it.

That thing must be full of a fat load of Wave Physicsy stuff. Also, I see you’ve been busy with all the article posts today.
