Considering the Zoom G9.2tt

Its about that time of year where I spend out some ludicrous price on something guitar related. It seems to be about every 6 months for me at the moment. Anyway, what I’m planning to get this time is the Zoom G9.2tt Guitar effects console. Bit of an awkward model number to say, but the console is fucking pro if you ask me. It has excellent reviews at Harmony Central and is only (say it quickly) £250.

Its not exactly a light thing either at 5.5kg

Here is the shortened feature list:

  • Twin Tubes.
  • Dual preamps, Channel A and B.
  • Dual expression pedals: 3-Dimensional and Normal.
  • Tube accelerator: Add pre-overdrive and natural compression.

I have play guitar for about 18 years.
This G9tt is great, you can use your computer for edit the patches with The ZOOM G9.2tt Editor/Librarian, is amazin easy to use. The sound is realy good.
I used this G9 in a studio and i have to say, this machine is excelent. if you want a really good machine buy one.
But download the Library editor and edit the patch specially the wha and select the one in your own criteria.

No matter about the xlr input! I see there is more than one output, would it be possible for example to use left
output as your main guitar output (as it is supposed to be used !) and have your mic going through the right output with an effect on it ? But not being effected every time you swich guitar effects on the left output?
(Like a digitech for example)

Ok, well there isn’t an XLR input on mine, however there is an aux in. I’m not home, but I don’t think there are any more inputs either. There are two outputs, a stereo guitar output, and a separate headphone one. I don’t think you can have different effects going to each, but you’ll have to check the manual to confirm. You can get it online.
