Came across an exciting new pastime today, don’t know why I hadn’t seen it before.
Happy Corner, also known as Aluba (”hitting the tree” in Taiwan), or Pole-racking in Great Britain, is a practice in which a person’s groin is ‘cornered’ rudely against a pole-shaped solid object.
Happy Corner is also a growing phenomenon in residence halls, and has become increasingly accepted to mark a male resident’s birthday. Happy Corner is then performed along with a song parodying Happy Birthday to You, with the lyrics changed to “Happy Corner to You”.
The other day, I got Matt to get a lighter so I could make paper rockets. Continuing on a pyromaniac theme, I set about modifying the same lighter to produce a large flame. It turns out that its very simple. Just remove the cap, lift the flame height adjuster, and then you can move the cog underneath it.
A few photos taken after I realised that it was the last day.
It was our last ever physics lesson at Hills Road today… So what else is there to do but play with liquid nitrogen.
